APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2022

APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2022

Here’s cheers to our new Apprentice of the Year!

We’re all about celebrating excellence and our second Apprentice of the Year Awards night went off with a bang! Service Teams from around SA gathered at the Bend Motorsport Park on Sunday 19 February 2023 to toast our next generation of superstars.

Glasses were raised to hard-working finalists, Tyson Jarvis from Riverton, and Jamie Smith from Cleve, who both made their mark during the Ramsey Bros Apprentice Exchange Program and throughout the 2022 year.

But the celebrations were topped-off when our 2021 winner, Riley Haines from our Cleve Branch, handed over the Perpetual Shield to crown the 2022 Apprentice of the Year — Jackson Humphries from our Murray Bridge! Huge congratulations, legend — enjoy hanging that shiny baby in the Murray Bridge branch for the next 12 months to remind you of your stellar efforts.

We only want the best of the best in our ranks and while all of our 2022 apprentices worked tirelessly during the year, Tyson, Jamie and Jackson were all nominated by senior mentors for their exceptional standards — and having top talent like this makes us chuffed to bits!

Each finalist nabbed a $250 voucher and  Jackson received a $500 voucher to put towards new work tools. Happy shopping boys — we hope it helps you buy some tools to continue perfecting your craft.

It gives us a thrill to offer all our apprentice technicians the exclusive opportunity to work on some of the biggest and most advanced farm machinery around, as well as the chance to be guided by senior technicians across our network to broaden their experience.

It was great to rally all of our service teams together for the first time and an absolute blast to add an apprentice v service managers go-karting battle to boot. The next day also saw the qualified techs staying on with their service manager for development training with Pat Donnelly, Mentor Management plus a full harvest review, where our leaders openly addressed feedback from the teams ahead of the day. These sessions are where great new paths are laid for a better way forward and we walked out feeling proud of where we’ve been and excited about where the Future  is heading.

A huge shout out to all of our apprentices and their mentors, who have left behind a great year of growth — we can’t wait to see what 2023 brings for each of you and our team. If you want to learn more about our Service Technician Apprenticeship visit www.ramseybros.com.au/intake
