AWARD RECOGNISES OUTSTANDING AGRICULTURE STUDENTS

Four Year 12 students who achieved outstanding results in agriculture during their final year of studies have been recognised with a new award for excellence.

In its inaugural year, the Ramsey Bros Outstanding Achievement in Agriculture Award was designed to recognise the next generation as they move on to their future career pathways.

The award was developed in consultation with the Agricultural Teachers Association of South Australia (ATASA) and will see each winner receive $250 plus the opportunity to undertake a week of work experience at a Ramsey Bros branch.

Ramsey Bros director Linc Ramsey said the company was impressed with the quality of the nominations received in the award’s first year.

“At Ramsey Bros, we’re really passionate about supporting the agricultural industry and encouraging young achievers who are equally passionate about being part of it,” he said.

“We are proud to be able to offer this kind of recognition and career exposure to South Australian Year 12 students.”

The successful recipients of the inaugural Ramsey Bros Outstanding Achievement in Agriculture Award are:

Sarah Frahn – Unity College Murray Bridge

Georgina Eckermann – Riverton & District High School

Daniel Sherratt – Trinity College Gawler

Lucy Steer – Bordertown High School
