This is an exciting time to join Ramsey Bros and contribute to an iconic South Australian business and the ongoing success of the Ramsey Bros Service Departments.

We are seeking a dynamic Group Service Manager who will have primary responsibility for managing the success of our Service Departments through implementing strategies that will drive service sales performance, overall profitability, ensuring customer retention, building service productivity, and driving efficiency, whilst ensuring that safe and effective business outcomes are always achieved.

Through your leadership, you will be providing the highest level of reliability and quality service outcomes to our regional South Australian customers, whilst achieving overall business targets and assisting the branches accomplish specific goals in areas of safety, financial performance, and quality.

As part of this role, you will manage our comprehensive in-house and external training programs for service departments, which is essential to our success.

This role will report directly to our Group Operations Manager. The role will be based either in Adelaide or regional South Australia, with a commitment to regularly visiting all branches during an agreed time period throughout the year.

This role will also have accountability for creating Service Strategy, and Annual Group Budget Planning.

You will be tasked with:

  • Leading the Group Service Departments through engaging and visible felt leadership to achieve overall business outcomes and KPI’s.
  • Leading and setting the standard around safety culture to ensure our people, customers, and suppliers are safe on our sites.
  • Establishing service sales and operational strategy by allocating resources, work priorities, and accountabilities across the various functions and activities accordingly.
  • Developing service strategy to deliver market leading customer focused outcomes and overall service experience.

Ideally, you will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (business, management etc.) or equivalent management experience.
  • 3-5 years’ of service-specific management experience within a geographically dispersed business.
  • Demonstrated record of achieving results in a similar environment.
  • Proven leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively drive cultural change within a business.
  • Effective communications skills in engaging people across various levels.
  • Ability to motivate and influence people’s behaviors and actions to achieve business outcomes.
  • Extensive knowledge of the agriculture or similar service industry, including markets, customers, competitors, trends, and innovations.
  • People management experience (including coaching and capability development abilities).
  • Understanding of safety principles and experience in developing safety engagement with direct and indirect reports.
