Getting your Case IH Patriot sprayer talking to Case IH FieldOps (without the headaches)

Author: Hamish Thornley, Group Service Manager

There’s more than one way to get your
Case IH Patriot’s data into FieldOps—and thankfully, most of them don’t involve digging through your washing machine for a soggy USB.

The “old school” method (a.k.a. the USB shuffle)

Shut the display down, pull out the USB, walk it into the office, plug it into the computer, upload your data… Simple enough—until you forget it in your pocket and it goes through a full wash cycle (we’ve all been there).

The “set and forget” method (connected machines). Use online tools to remove the guesswork

Modern Case IH Patriots take care of all that for you. With built-in connectivity (cellular, and in some cases satellite), your data uploads automatically while you keep working.

No USB. No walking. No laundry risks.

So what’s actually doing the work?

On newer machines like the Case IH Patriot 4450:

Once your FieldOps account is set up, you’ve accepted the EULA, and the machine is linked—you’re basically done. Data just starts flowing.

  • Machine data (location, fuel burn, engine info, etc.)
→ Is sent via the PCM (Productivity & Connectivity Module)
  • Agronomic data (rates, coverage maps, guidance lines)
Depends on what screen you’ve got in the cab:
  • Running a Case IH Pro 1200 display?
→ The PCM handles everything—nice and simple.
  • Running a Raven Viper 4+?
→ That uses Raven Slingshot to send your agronomic data across.

What about older machines?

Got a Case IH Patriot 4430 (MY2017-MY2022)? You’re not left out.

  • With a Case IH Pro 700 display
→ Add a PCM module and you’re back in the modern world.
  • With a Raven Viper 4+
→ Fit a Slingshot unit and you’ll get wireless data transfer.

Otherwise… yep, it’s back to the USB shuffle.

The bottom line

Getting data off your Patriot used to mean a bit of running around (and occasionally doing laundry twice). Now, with the right setup, it just happens in the background—no effort required.

Set it up once, and let the machine do the talking, talk to the team at Ramsey Bros and we can make it happen.
