New refrigerant R1234yf introduced in agricultural machinery
You may start noticing a slight change in the air conditioning systems of many agricultural machines on the market. A new refrigerant, R1234yf, is being phased in across a range of equipment.
But don’t worry, there’s no major shift this time! Unlike the last refrigerant change, the previous standard R134a isn’t being phased out. That means no need to retrofit or modify existing systems—current hardware is designed to prevent switching refrigerants.
