It’s a rich history behind Case IH’s Steiger tractor, which turns 65 this year — and it’s not slowing down anytime soon. “The Steiger has been one of our mainstay machines. Leading the industry in power to the ground performance and productivity of tillage applications, it remains Australia’s first choice for many reasons,” says Ramsey Bros Group Wholegoods Executive Tim Glover.
We’ve marvelled at the continuous evolution of the iconic machinery, with the likes of higher horsepower options and the addition of advanced connectivity that allow producers to configure, connect and then manage the tractor remotely. This new range raises the bar once again!
Australian launch
Just weeks ago in August 2023, the MY24 Steiger range was launched to the Australian market at AgQuip in Gunnedah, New South Wales. The new range of models offers unprecedented levels of cab comfort and AFS Connect data management technology.

horsepower tractors, and the updates to this new range not only reinforce this reputation,
but respond to the need for greater levels of productivity and sustainability within modern

There’s a model to meet every job head-on, with the new MY24 AFS Connect Steiger model available in:

- Quadtrac models from 475 – 645HP
- Rowtrac models from 425 – 525HP
New features
“Built with greater power and fuel-efficiency, enhanced operator comfort, and further
refinements to its remote management and data transfer capabilities, the MY24 Steiger line-up offers greater performance, versatility and reliability than ever before,” Justin says.
Pop the bonnet and feel your jaw drop! An updated FPT 13L cursor engine provides greater power and a faster engine response across each model, along with improvements in fuel/fluid efficiency.
The exterior and in-cab overhaul will get the endorphins running. This new line will make it easier than ever to work the long hours demanded for today’s farming, with new features including:
- Newly designed cab roof styling, with integrated overhead grab rails for operator security
- Updated cab interior with new headliner, overhead console and ram mount rails
- The option of a second AFS Pro 1200 display option from factory
- A new premium sound option, with an amplifier, tweeters, 6.5-inch subwoofer with ported box and additional speaker grills
- Enhanced LED lighting package with greater output options for 360-degree night lighting visibility
- Additional front console storage
