Most growers are already managing around this problem without necessarily naming it. That is why adjuvants exist. Surfactants help droplets spread and stick. Drift-reducing agents (DRAs) try to keep fine particles from floating away. These are smart tools, but they are compensating for a flawed spray outcome, not correcting it. Fine droplets still drift. Coarse droplets still run off. Coverage remains inconsistent, rates creep up, and second passes become routine.

How it works
The MagrowTec Boom Kit is a fluid conditioning system that passes spray fluid through magnetic fields generated by permanent rare earth magnets. These are the same kind of magnets that we see in MRI machines and Teslas. This process realigns nano-particles within the fluid before it ever reaches the nozzle, producing droplets that are more consistent in size, a better shape, and more adhesive on contact. The result is increased coverage, significantly improved canopy penetration, reduced drift, and ultimately more product doing the work it was bought to do.

Andrew Kennedy of Kennedy Spraying Services in Mount Gambier has spoken of reducing drift by 50 to 60 per cent and significantly increased canopy coverage (up to 60% more) following MagrowTec installation on his 24-metre spray truck.

Scott Samwell of Eastbrook Farms in the Adelaide Hills, one of Australia’s largest Brussels sprout producers, cut water usage by 25 per cent, lifted productivity by 25 per cent, and extended his spray windows by one to one and a half days per week, a meaningful gain for a crop requiring weekly protection applications across a 10-month growing cycle.
