Precision Agriculture – the driver of food security

There’s a lot more to agriculture than tractors. Cutting edge technology is now deeply embedded in most farm machines and is essential for increasing farm food production. As a Ramsey Bros Integrated Technologies Consultant, you’ll work with:

  • High precision GPS guidance
  • Networked fleets
  • Digital operating displays
  • Engine telematics
  • Robotics and remote controllers
  • Data processing and mapping
  • Integrated systems

The Ramsey Bros Integrated Technologies team is a highly respected category leader in South Australia. We don’t just install the technologies, we work with farmers to implement and integrate systems for their tractors, seeders, spreaders, sprayers and entire operations.

We also operate the state’s largest and most sophisticated precision guidance network for agriculture – RAMNet. So if you’re more interested in telemetry than torque, sensors than spanners and data than drivetrains, there is a huge future waiting for you in precision ag.

Great staff deserve great support and training.

At Ramsey Bros, we take an active interest in the professional growth of our people, whether it’s through further education or promotion ‘on the job’ with the opportunity to learn from more experienced team members.

As part of our ongoing professional development program, we encourage staff to undertake specialist training for their role e.g. Diploma in agricultural, Agricultural Mechanical Technical training, Parts interpreting, leadership & management training or broaden their general skills in business, machinery or rural operations.

Each staff member has a professional development plan to help them grow and challenge themselves within their job which is reviewed annually with Human Resources.

This not only benefits individual staff personally but also contributes to the overall success of our company.

And it’s not just for those working in front-line roles.

We want every staff member to realise their full potential.  One of the best ways to achieve this is through on-the-job learning and giving staff scope to extend their skills and experience by taking on new and different responsibilities including leadership roles.

Ongoing workplace development enables our teams deliver the best services and information that customers need and want.

We take the same long-term partnership approach to supporting our staff as we do with our farming customers – we’ve been doing this for nearly seventy years and the results speak for themselves.
